The strategic use of fillers can restore profile balance and symmetry by targeting specific areas, such as the chin, lips, and the nose. To achieve the most aesthetically pleasing result, it is important to consider certain anatomical lines that guide facial harmony, notably Ricketts' Line and Burstone's Line. The Rickett's Aesthetic Line is a tool used to measure a balanced and aesthetically pleasing facial profile and it is an imaginary line drawn from the tip of the nose to the tip of the chin. For example, adding volume to a receding / retrognathic chin or enhancing lip volume can help create the ideal curve that Ricketts' Line suggests, giving the face a more balanced and youthful look. Burstone's Line is another essential reference when enhancing the facial profile. It is a line drawn from the base of the nose to the highest point of the chin projection. By using dermal fillers, we can refine the projection of the chin and lips to ensure that they fall in line with Burstone's Line, resulting in a more aesthetically proportionate profile. When injecting fillers to enhance the facial profile, the goal is to use these anatomical lines as guides to create subtle, natural-looking changes that improve facial symmetry and balance. In this case, the client did not want lip volumisation, so we tried to achieve a more balanced profile by enhancing the chin. At Mr. & Mrs. Fillers, we know how important it is for you to be informed and completely confident before going ahead with a treatment and we offer free consultations in case you want to discuss and plan first.
